College!!

Long time no see!! I've been enjoying my last months of holidays and started to get ready for college. Wow! it's kinda weird, I'm slightly anxious but I'm very much excited! College starts in a week and I still have to move out and get all of my stuff ready, but I'm also trying to have fun during my last days here in my hometown, that's why I've been focusing on photography, some reading, and spending time with my boyfriend.
I got "1Q84" (book 1, 2 &3!!) by Haruki Murakami for Valentine's Day and needless to say, I was MORE than happy, I was DYING to read them and I finished the first two books last week and I've got to say...Murakami never fails to amaze me!!

Also my laptop broke for a few weeks so I decided to play around with my camera and use my boyfriend as a model (even if he say he isn't, he is, to my eyes, a great model haha) and I've been doing some snaps here and there, taking advantage of the roadtrips we did the past months (:

I hope I'll be able to update soon (:

Loppiainen

...or Epiphany or Drei Heilige Könige and so on. Today it was time to undress our Christmas tree and throw it away. We went to Rajasaari with my mom and Lili. It's a huge dog park with beach and everything. After wandering around in the dog park we wanted to visit Regatta, which is a small cabin cafeteria. Dogs are also allowed, but sadly it was full and we didn't want to freeze outside anymore, so we went back home.
Tomorrow I'll return to normal as well. Luckily I have an evening shift so that I don't have to wake up early. It has been a wonderful and relaxing holiday. I've seen lots of friends I haven't met in ages and got to spend time with my family and the most important Lili! Yesterday I went to my new gym for the first time in 3 weeks. Need to get my workout routine updated and start training again. I'm waiting for spring and dry streets bald from snow and ice, that I can go and do the thing I love and hate at the same time: JOGGING. Yeah, I know it's possible to jog also in Winter, but I'm so clumsy that I would just broke my leg. Hope you have been enjoying your holidays too!

Ringling

Silver ring - mom's old//rusty F-ring - Urban Outfitters//knot ring - Accessorize//denim shirt - Crocker for men, JC//Plenty denim leggins - Dr. Denim//bag - borrowed from F

Hello everyone!

Yesterday I met Marika, who's one of my Joensuu-friends. It was so nice to see her before she returns to Joensuu. It feels strange going to work on Monday instead of going back to Joensuu and uni. We went to Fazer and wandered in stores. Once again, I found nothing I wanted to buy. On Thursday I actually got new leather gloves. I almost forgot. My suede leather gloves went missing on October when I travelled on a train to Joensuu. They were completely new and I was upset, but not anymore since I like my new ones even more. On Thu I was shopping with my mom and we hit the sales on Sokos and bought bag fulls of cosmetics. I don't have any outfit pics from Thu, but above you see my yesterdays look. I don't know how the light especially in pictures often distorts my hair color more reddish than it really is. I've got a tripod and try to learn how to use it properly. Soon I'm off to dog park with Lili.

Laters!

Goodbye 2012

I always try to write something before the year ends, and for some reason, I always wait til the last minute to do it so. I think it's because I don't like to jump into conclusions so fast...2013 is only a few hours away, so I'd like to take a moment to remember what I've been going through the past 12 months.
2012 was a great year, like Pauliina, I spent it also in Germany, and I got to visit many places, most of them in the most delightful company I could ever ask: good friends & family.
2012 was definitely a year for personal growth and self discovery, I went through hard times and I'm proud to say I got over them, and now I'm happy and thankful for all the experiences I've lived. Even the bad ones. I learnt that it's important to take things easily, not to freak out over small things, to relax. I also learnt it's okay to be confused and it's okay not to know exactly what are you going to do at certain times.
People came into my life in the most unexpected and expected ways, and I'm glad each of them crossed my path. And also, people have left, to find their own way, and that's okay too...Life it's a long path and nothing is forever. Not even family. Not even friends. That's why it's so important to cherish each moment with them, and learn from each relationship we're in: wether if it's love or a friendship. But we should never forget about the relationship we have with ourselves (:
Thanks to my friends, family and special ones who made this year an awesome year and thank you for all the support you've given me (:
I wish everyone 365 days filled with love, good vibes, tolerance, personal growth and lots and lots of LOVE.

Best wishes!
xoxo

2012

In 2012 I've lived in 3 different places, lived in 2 different countries and have been in 6 different countries. I've seen many different places and got to know people from different countries and cultures. I think that the word "different" describes my year pretty well.
In the first place my year 2012 started in Western Germany in a town called Dortmund. I bet it sounds familiar for every football fan. I spent six months as an Au Pair in a German family. I think the period in Germany grew me mentally a lot. When I came back to Finland, despite all the familiar faces and places, I had difficulties to adapt in my Finnish life. I think that when I finally managed to adapt in my regular life in Helsinki, I was already moving to Joensuu. Helsinki makes the second place where I've lived during this year and Joensuu makes the third one. In Dortmund I lived in a host family, in Helsinki I lived with my family and in Joensuu I lived in a family of three 20-year-old girls.
In addition to Finland and Germany I've been in Netherlands, Greece, Turkey and Sweden. In Netherlands I visited with Lupe in the last February. We went to Amsterdam for one weekend and it was definitely one of the most memorable trips I've had. Then in the end of June me and my boyfriend traveled to the island Kos in Greece. During our two-week trip in Kos we also visited Bodrum, which is called as the Turkish Riviera. I was disappointed with Bodrum, because there was no Eastern atmosphere at all. I had imagined all the great bazaars and everything before. At least I had a chance to ride a camel. In the end of summer we went to a cruise to Stockholm with my family. Our trip consisted of shopping, shopping, eating, shopping and shopping.
This year I also made it to the university and lived for the first time on my own. Not completely alone, but without parents or a host family. In Joensuu I got to taste the real student life and it's pros and cons. In year 2012 one of my longest dreams came true, when I saw Red Hot Chili Peppers live at Tampere in August. I also turned 20 and celebrated it with good friends and my boyfriend. I want to thank everyone, who has been a part of my amazing year. Let's see what 2013 will bring us!

Untitled #9

I'm surprised I managed to create such a girly New Year's card for you, but anyway:
Happy New Year 2013!
Hyvää uutta vuotta 2013!
Ein gutes Rutsch ins neue Jahr 2013!

Have a memorable step to the year 2013 and let the bottles pop! Be careful with the fireworks!

Paris

Picture from weheartit

I JUST WANTED TO SHARE WITH YOU that I'm going to Paris in July for five entire days. Seems that I've been pretty nice this year, because I got the trip as a Christmas present from my mom. The trip came as a complete surprise for me. Mom, if you see this, you're the best! I love to travel and especially city holidays are made for me. The trip needs to be planned good, because there's going to be so many things to see and I bet that we won't have enough time for everything. I've also heard that Paris can be a bit complicated for a first timer and I'm definitely one. I have always wanted to travel there, but never been before, and now it's going to happen. I'm so excited! Time to start saving some money. Luckily I got a job starting in the beginning of January.
And if someone has any travel tips for Paris, I would be very thankful to get some. Thank you!
